Helmet Automatic Spray Painting Line – Process Introduction

1. Overview

This production line is a fully automated spraying system specially designed for helmet shells (ABS/PC/ composite materials). It realizes continuous, stable and high-quality surface painting, including primer, color coat, clear coat and curing, with high efficiency, uniform film thickness, good gloss and strong adhesion.

2. Complete Process Flow

  1. Feeding & Shell PreparationHelmet shells are manually or automatically loaded onto a dedicated conveyor fixture, positioned stably to avoid shaking during spraying.

  2. Dust Removal & Static EliminationAutomatic dust removal brush + ion air blow to remove surface dust and static electricity, ensuring paint adhesion.

  3. PreheatingInfrared or hot-air preheating to remove surface moisture and improve paint leveling.

  4. Automatic Spraying (Robotic / Reciprocating Machine)

    • Primer coating: improves adhesion and covers minor surface defects

    • Color topcoat: forms the main color and appearance

    • Clear coat: enhances gloss, scratch resistance and weather resistanceSpraying is completed in a closed, air-conditioned spray booth with constant temperature and humidity.

  5. Flash-Off / Levelling ZonePaint surface naturally levels and solvent partially volatilizes to prevent sagging and orange peel.

  6. Curing / DryingThrough hot-air drying oven or UV curing oven to fully cure the paint film, ensuring hardness and durability.

  7. Cooling & UnloadingHelmet cools down naturally, then unloaded automatically or manually for subsequent assembly.
